About Us

Burlett Refrigeration is a 3rd generation family-owned Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning business. We have been serving New Orleans and the surrounding area for 50 years. Wayne Burlett founded Burlett Refrigeration in 1964. Although he began with servicing air conditioning equipment his passion was in ice machines. He went on to design & manufacture Excel Ice Machines ranging in size from 2500 pounds to 20 tons of ice production per day. Wayne’s reputation of being honest, dependable, and hardworking helped build the Burlett name.

Although we no longer manufacture ice machines, ice machine rentals, sales & repairs are still a large portion of our business each year. We pride ourselves on the fact that we spend very little on advertising as most of our business comes from customer referrals. Given the opportunity, we will work hard to be the best HVAC and Refrigeration company you have ever used.
